Refund Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
Limini SpA operates a marketplace that connects professionals and experts with audiences, companies and event organizers. Payments are processed through our authorized payment provider (Mercado Pago) using a marketplace split, meaning the professional or organizer is the merchant responsible for delivering the ticket, service or event, while Limini SpA acts as the technical intermediary and platform operator. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are handled for each type of transaction, and how it interacts with the consumer-protection laws of Chile, the rest of Latin America, and the United States. Nothing in this policy limits the mandatory rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence.
1. Scope and Transaction Types
This policy applies to every payment made through Limini: (a) event tickets sold by organizers; (b) professional services and paid 1:1 appointments (consultations, keynotes, workshops, mentoring); (c) voluntary support payments ("Buy a coffee" / tips); and (d) Premium subscriptions. Each type has different refund rules, described below, because their nature and the applicable law differ.
2. Statutory Right of Withdrawal ("cooling-off") by Region
CHILE: Under Law No. 19,496 on Consumer Protection (Art. 3 bis), purchases made through electronic means may be withdrawn within 10 calendar days of the transaction or of receiving the service, UNLESS the service has already begun to be rendered with your prior and express consent, or the event has already taken place. LATIN AMERICA: Many countries grant a similar right of withdrawal or "regret button" for distance/online purchases — for example Argentina (Law 24,240, 10 calendar days), Colombia (Law 1480, 5 business days), Brazil (Consumer Defense Code, 7 days), Mexico (Federal Consumer Protection Law) and Peru (Indecopi). Where such a right exists in your country, it prevails over the timeframes set out below. UNITED STATES: There is no general federal cooling-off period for online purchases of digital goods or services; refunds in the U.S. are governed by this policy, applicable state law (including auto-renewal statutes such as California's ARL), and the rules of your card network. In all regions, the withdrawal right does not apply once a service has been fully rendered or an event has already occurred with your consent.
3. Event Tickets
Refunds for event tickets are governed by this policy and by any cancellation terms set by the Organizer, which are only enforceable against you if they were communicated to you before the purchase. As a baseline: (a) if the Organizer cancels or materially reschedules the event, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price; (b) if you request a cancellation, refunds are subject to the terms of the Organizer and to any statutory withdrawal right in your country; (c) tickets to free events carry no refund. Requests must be made before the event start time. Service or processing fees may be non-refundable where permitted by local law.
4. Professional Services and 1:1 Appointments
Paid services and appointments booked through Limini may be refunded as follows: (a) before the professional confirms the booking, you may cancel for a full refund; (b) after confirmation but before the session, refunds follow the professional's stated cancellation window and any statutory withdrawal right; (c) once the service has been rendered or the session has taken place, it is generally non-refundable, except where the service was not delivered as described, in which case you may open a dispute (Section 7). We encourage professionals to honor a reasonable cancellation window and to resolve issues in good faith.
5. Voluntary Support ("Buy a coffee" / Tips)
Payments made through the "Buy a coffee" or tipping feature are voluntary contributions to support a professional and are not a purchase of goods or services. For this reason they are non-refundable, except where a payment was unauthorized, duplicated, or made in error — in which case you should contact us within 14 days so we can review and, where appropriate, reverse the transaction.
6. Premium Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time from your billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no partial refund is issued for the unused portion, except where a statutory withdrawal right applies (for example, a first-time subscription cancelled within the cooling-off period of your country) or where required by applicable law. Where a free trial is offered, you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. Auto-renewal can be turned off at any time before the renewal date.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or open a dispute, contact us at contacto@impactia.cl or through the Contact page, including your name, the email used for the purchase, the transaction date and amount, and the reason for the request. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days. For transactions involving a professional or organizer, we may coordinate with them to reach a fair resolution.
8. Refund Method and Processing Times
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Mercado Pago. Because the charge is credited to the Mercado Pago account of the seller, who is the merchant of record, the refund is issued from that account: Limini SpA coordinates and follows up, the funds are not in its hands, and today the platform does not automate that return — it is handled through the channel in section 7. The time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer and typically ranges from 5 to 20 business days after approval. Refunds are made in the original currency of the transaction; Limini SpA is not responsible for exchange-rate differences or bank fees applied by third parties.
9. Chargebacks and Card Disputes
If you do not recognize a charge, we ask that you contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. You retain the right to dispute a charge with your bank or card network (chargeback) in accordance with their rules. Filing a chargeback for a service that was legitimately delivered, or for a voluntary contribution, may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
10. Non-Refundable Situations
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, refunds are not available: (a) once an event has taken place or a service has been fully rendered with your consent; (b) for voluntary support/tips, save for the error cases in Section 5; (c) for the unused portion of a subscription period after the applicable withdrawal window; (d) where a request is made in bad faith or in breach of these terms.
11. Changes to This Policy
Limini SpA may update this Refund Policy to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The policy in force at the time of your transaction governs that transaction.
12. Contact
