Consent to show your profile
Version 2026.10.20
What you decide
With this option you decide whether your Limini profile is shown to other people. It is a single decision for two places: your public profile on the Limini website and the people directory in the hub, where networking happens. Until you decide, your profile is not shown in either. We ask you with two options and neither comes selected: "Show my profile", which we recommend because that is what Limini is for, and "Don't show it for now". Only the one you choose counts. If your account is created when a company is registered, whatever was chosen in the form is only a proposal: when you activate the account we show it to you and you decide.
What is shown and to whom
On the website, anyone, with or without an account, and search engines can see your public profile: your name, photo, headline, description, company, topics, services and ratings. The profile only appears when it also has a photo, a description and a registered identity document; the document is never published.
In the hub people directory, people with a Limini account can find you by your name or company and see your name, photo, company, country, headline, topics, ratings, whether your profile is verified and whether you accept appointments.
What it enables
Appearing in the directory lets other people with an account send you a contact request. If you accept a request, that person can send you private messages inside Limini. You can decline requests, block anyone and, while still appearing, stop receiving new requests.
If you choose not to show it
Your account works the same for everything else. You do not appear on the website or in the directory, nobody can send you a contact request, and you cannot send them either while you are not shown. Pending requests with you, the ones you sent and the ones you received, stop being visible while you are not shown.
Inside Limini, your profile is still seen only by people you have a specific relationship with: your already accepted contacts and those who have a conversation with you; the people of the companies you belong to in Limini, and whoever administers a company you asked to join; whoever organizes an event you accepted to take part in, and the people you added as speakers to an event you created; the company of an open call you applied to; in an inquiry, the person you sent it to, whoever sent it to you and their company if you accepted it, and those who read the messages you write in it; and the Limini administration team.
If you accept to take part in an event and that event is published or has already ended, you are shown as part of it to anyone, including people without an account, and the same happens with the articles and activities you publish. What you share yourself also shows your name and, in some cases, your photo to whoever receives it: the link of a charge you issue, the invitation you send so that your participation or an activity is validated, the feedback QR code of an activity of yours and the page for giving feedback on your participation in an event, the latter only if you accepted to take part and the event is published or has already ended. And the client company you name in an activity you register sees your name and photo in its panel. That does not depend on this option: it depends on you accepting to take part, publishing, sharing or registering. Accepting or declining your participation in an event is up to you, and we keep a record of who accepts, declines or withdraws it.
How to change or withdraw it
You can change this decision at any time from your profile in the hub. If you withdraw your consent, you stop appearing in the directory at that moment, and your profile stops being shown on the website within a few minutes (up to 5, the time it takes to refresh the copy the website keeps in its cache). The preview image of your profile that has already been shared may keep being served from the cache for about a day, and search engines and social networks may take longer to update their copies, because that depends on them. We keep a record of every decision, with its date and the version of this text, including when you withdraw it.
Legal basis
We process this data with your consent, under Chilean Law 21.719, and we do not presume it: if you do not choose, your profile is not shown. More information in our Privacy Policy or by writing to contacto@limini.app.
