This Privacy Policy describes how Impactia collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our services, attend events hosted on our platform, or interact with our public directory.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, build a Professional or Company profile, register for an event, or communicate with us. This includes contact data (name, email, phone number), professional data (job title, biography, social media links), financial data (billing details processed by our third-party payment processors), and user-generated content (reviews, feedback, event descriptions).
2. Cookies and Automatically Collected Information
Impactia does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools. We do measure, with our own tooling and without cookies, activity on the public pages: we record profile views, article views, contact clicks and sign-up steps, associated with an anonymous identifier stored in your browser's local storage, together with the path visited and the domain you arrived from. That measurement feeds the audience statistics we show to the professional and our own product metrics; it is not used for advertising and is not shared with third parties. The only cookies we set are those strictly necessary to keep your session open across our subdomains; without them you cannot sign in to an account. As with any web service, our hosting infrastructure and our database provider also record technical data about requests —IP address, browser type and time of access— for security, diagnostics and abuse prevention.
3. How We Use Your Information
Impactia uses your data to operate, maintain, and improve our platform. Specifically, we use it to: (a) display your public professional profile as intended by our directory service; (b) process charges and send you related information, such as purchase confirmations; (c) facilitate communication between Event Organizers and Professionals; (d) provide customer support; (e) monitor and analyze trends and usage to improve platform architecture; and (f) detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions or unauthorized access.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances: (1) With Event Organizers when you register for their event, allowing them to manage attendance and follow up; (2) With vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, cloud hosting); (3) In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with any applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
5. Data Security
We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data transmitted through the internet.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over your personal data. In Chile, Law No. 21,719 —in full force from 1 December 2026— recognizes the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and blocking. You may delete your account directly from the application, or exercise any of these rights by writing to contacto@impactia.cl: we record every request with a case number and its date, and we answer within the deadline the law sets for each right. While the regulation does not yet specify them, we commit to a maximum of 15 business days for access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability, extendable once by a further 15 where the complexity of the request justifies it, and to 2 business days for blocking, given its precautionary nature. If you live outside Chile, we will handle your request under the law that protects you.
